Efficacy of yoga and its probable mechanism of action on lifestyle-related chronic kidney disease: a randomized clinical trial.
Key takeaways
This trial tested yoga in people with middle stage kidney disease, stages 3 and 4, caused by diabetes or high blood pressure. Eighty-one patients aged 35 to 60 at a hospital in Mangalore, India were split at random: 41 did yoga and 40 were the comparison group. The study ran from January to September 2022. The abstract we can read stops before the results, so we cannot say whether the yoga group did better, and a trial this size could not prove long term kidney protection anyway.
